Update Notifications
So I was trying to figure a way around people not being notified when there's a new post on our blog (famil-y-ties.blogspot.com) since we went private.
This morning I realized this is somewhat excessive but it'll work till there's a better alternative than emailing updates to everyone who may or may not want it. So instead I've created this second "public" blog that will allow our friends and family to follow it on Google Reader.
So in the future when we post on our regular blog, we will also put a quick update note on this blog so people can be notified of the update if they so desire. You can choose to add this to google reader or you can choose not to. I personally know that the family and friends blogs I look at that are private go unnoticed for longer periods of time because it can be difficult to remember to check it since it doesn't pop up on my google reader.
Hopefully this will give our family and friends the option of being updated! I also hope this means we found a loop hole to that annoying side of becoming private.
